J6584 was the only Bolton made. It was the first metal framed aircraft produced for the RAF as a prototype. Although it had fabric covering on all flight surfaces and rear fuselages, the supporting structure was in stainless iron and light alloy. The engines were the RAF's favourite Napier Lion 450hp water cooled triple bank units. Designed by J.D. North.
