Edward Arthur Cyprian Buckmaster, rector of Worthen from 1947-1975. Well liked, and known to many as Buckie. He died on Feb 16 1983. Educated at Orleton school he was a former student of New College, Oxford. Prior to Worthen he was at St Dunstan's, Edge Hill, Liverpool, subsequent to curacies in Scarborough and Wigan.
